The difference
Hosts pay no booking commission and receive their host amount in full. A guest cost contribution of 6.9% of the host amount is already included in the displayed total. It contributes to payment processing, refund handling and payment loss costs.
Take a simple example: an owner who wants to earn RM 4,531 for a week.
| What each platform takes | Airbnb | Booking.com | BookNoFees |
|---|---|---|---|
| Host booking commission | 15.5% | 15%–25% | 0% |
| Payment processing & protection | included | contract-specific | 6.9% |
| Owner keepson a RM 4,531 listing | RM 3,828 | RM 3,398–RM 3,851 | RM 4,531 |
| Guest paysfor RM 4,531 to reach the owner | RM 5,360 | RM 5,328–RM 6,039 | RM 4,843 |
Over 18 weeks let, that is more than RM 9,061 a year in this example — money that stays with the guest or reaches the owner.
Rates checked in September 2026. Under its single-fee structure, Airbnb charges most hosts 15.5%; Airbnb says other hosts typically pay between 14% and 16%. Exceptions depend on country and account type. Booking.com sets the commission rate in each accommodation agreement, and visibility programmes may increase it. This worked example uses a possible range of 15% to 25%. If Booking.com facilitates payment, the applicable payment terms and transaction cost are contract-specific. Our 6.9% cost contribution is included in the displayed total and contributes towards Stripe payment fees and refunds. Nothing is added at checkout and nothing is deducted from the owner. Fee models can change, so please check each platform’s current terms. Sources: Airbnb Help Center and Booking.com General Delivery Terms.
Popular places
Antigua is the main island of the two-island nation of Antigua and Barbuda, a green, gently hilly place ringed by so many coves that locals like to say there is a beach for every day of the year. That reputation is the island's calling card: sheltered white-sand bays with calm, swimmable water on almost every side, from the resort strip at Dickenson Bay in the northwest to the quieter sands of the south and east. History is woven through it too. English Harbour and Nelson's Dockyard, once a base for the Royal Navy and now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, make up one of the Caribbean's most atmospheric sailing hubs, and the view down over the yachts from Shirley Heights is a rite of passage — especially at the Sunday sundowner gathering. The capital, St John's, brings colourful streets, a twin-towered cathedral, markets and the cruise quay. Jolly Harbour on the west coast offers marina life and easy beach days, while Falmouth Harbour buzzes during sailing season. Just across the water lies Barbuda, a low, wild sister island known for its frigatebird sanctuary and vast empty beaches. English is the official language and the Eastern Caribbean dollar is the currency, making Antigua an easy, welcoming base for first-time and returning Caribbean travellers alike.

Vacation rentals in Antigua: FAQ
Book vacation apartments and holiday homes safely with BookNoFees ↗It is the island's best-known boast — one beach for every day of the year. Whether the count is precise or simply generous, the point stands: Antigua's deeply indented coastline is packed with sheltered white-sand bays, and you can realistically try a different beach every day of a long holiday. Many stay calm and swimmable thanks to protecting reefs, from busy resort strands to quiet coves you may have almost to yourself.
The peak dry season runs roughly December to April, with warm, sunny days, lower humidity and the liveliest atmosphere — and the highest prices. The sailing calendar, including regattas around English and Falmouth Harbours, falls in spring. Summer is hotter and quieter, and the Atlantic hurricane season spans June to November. If you travel in late summer or autumn, watch forecasts and consider flexible bookings and insurance.
Nelson's Dockyard in English Harbour is the headline — a restored Georgian naval dockyard, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, ringed by yachts and old stone buildings. Climb to Shirley Heights for sweeping harbour views, especially at the famous Sunday sunset party with barbecue and live music. Explore colourful St John's, take a catamaran trip, and if you have time, day-trip or overnight to Barbuda for its frigatebird sanctuary and enormous empty beaches.
Distances are short but public transport is limited to shared minibuses that mainly radiate from St John's, so many visitors rent a car to reach the more remote southern and eastern beaches. Taxis are widely available and fares are commonly set by fixed zones — agree the price before you set off. Driving is on the left, and a local temporary driving permit is typically required, usually arranged through the car-hire company.
English is the official language, so most travellers find communication easy, alongside a widely spoken local Creole. The currency is the Eastern Caribbean dollar, shared across several nearby islands. US dollars are often accepted at hotels and tourist spots, and cards work in most established businesses, but carry some local cash for markets, buses and smaller vendors. Confirm which currency a price is in before paying.
BookNoFees deducts no commission from the amount set by the host. The displayed total includes a 6.9% guest fee on the host price, covering payment processing, refund handling and payment risks. Nothing is added at checkout.
