Sawadee is one of three Thai restaurants of the same name in the south of Gran Canaria - the others are in Meloneras and San Agustín. This one is on Avenida de Gran Canaria in Playa del Inglés.

Thai chefs cook in the style of Isaan, the north-east of Thailand: simple, strong flavors from fresh herbs, lime and fish sauce, with little sugar or butter. Pad thai, green curry (gaeng kiew waan) and pineapple fried rice are among the favorites, and a house platter brings several dishes together. The terrace is colorful and relaxed, the bar mixes cocktails, and everything on the menu can also be taken away.
